The rocky hills of South Dakota did not slow down Abilene(paint) or Poco(palamino).

After riding up the north trail to Harney Peak we finally reached the top and were able to tie up and enjoy lunch while the horses were able to enjoy a short rest.

Sammy is a 3 year old black/white paint. This was his first "big" trail ride. He did wonderfully. He crossed the rivers like a pro and gaited like a dream.

"Big Red" led the way. This big guy loves to move out and is so smooth you can't believe that you are on a horse.

Abilene ended her trail riding year in the Ozark Mountains. This is her second trip to Eminence. She crossed the rivers without a second thought. She was ridden in the "Fast" organized ride and moved out with a smooth gait.

Abilene (tri-colored paint) and "Big Red" were both very sure footed and level headed during their South Dakota ride.

Abilene (tri-colored paint) and Sammy (black/white paint) traveled to the Ouachita National Forest in Oklahoma for an early spring ride. Both continue to grow in their trail experiences. Climbing mountains and crossing streams.

After a long days ride we tied up at Harvey's Crooked Branch Saloon which can be found in the forest close to the Cedar Lake Horse camp.

Both the riders and horses were ready for a break from the trail. The horses got to rest and the riders got to "PLAY".

Easy enjoyed a little rock climbing while on the trail in Custer Park.

This stallion loves to "go"!!! Easy loves to travel and trail ride and gets mad when left behind.

In 2007 he traveled to South Dakota for a second time to ride the beautiful Black Hills.

Sammy and Big Red spent a few days riding the bluffs and forested trails at the Outback Ranch in Minnesota. Sammy moved out when it was asked of him and was sure footed on the wet slippery trails when he needed to be.

In the spring of 2010 Gracie (on the right) and Thelma (on the left) traveled to the Ozark Mountains. There they rode rocky mountain trails and crossed rivers.
